At Bachy Soletanche Vietnam, the biggest challenge in training and development is not how many training sessions we organize or how we fit them into already busy schedules. The real challenge is changing mindsets.

On construction sites, work never stops. Day shifts hand over to night shifts, projects continue around the clock, and our teams constantly face operational demands. When we first introduced training programs, we believed that time constraints would be our greatest obstacle.

But over the years, I have realized that the hardest part is not time. It is mindset.

The construction industry is evolving rapidly. The projects we deliver are becoming increasingly complex, with higher expectations in technical expertise, safety standards, and individual capabilities. The challenges we will face tomorrow will certainly not be the same as those we solved yesterday.

That is why, before discussing how many training courses a company should provide, I believe every employee must first embrace a different perspective on learning. Training is not an activity reserved for spare time. It is an integral part of our work and a way to prepare ourselves for greater challenges ahead.
I understand that finding time to learn amid demanding project schedules is not easy. However, each of us must also take ownership of our development by organizing our work, making time to learn, and continuously improving our skills.

Ultimately, training is not only about performing better today. More importantly, it is about preparing ourselves for the future. As Bachy Soletanche Vietnam takes on increasingly challenging and complex projects, we must be ready to step up to the next level.
