Groundbreaking Ceremony for ST6 Station of Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 2
On 15 October 2026, Bachy Soletanche Vietnam held a groundbreaking ceremony and officially commenced construction of ST6 Station, part of the Metro Line 2 (Ben Thanh – Tham Luong) project, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey.
Metro Line 2 is one of Ho Chi Minh City’s key transportation infrastructure projects, stretching more than 11 km and comprising 11 stations, including 10 underground stations and 1 elevated station, connecting the city center with the northwestern gateway of the city. Among the 10 underground stations, Bachy Soletanche Vietnam has been entrusted with the construction of two key stations, ST4 and ST6. This achievement reflects not only the company’s proven expertise in geotechnical engineering and underground works, but also the confidence placed in Bachy Soletanche Vietnam by the Client for strategic infrastructure developments.
Today’s groundbreaking ceremony for ST6 carries a particularly special meaning, marking Bachy Soletanche Vietnam’s return to metro projects after nearly a decade. The company previously played a role in the early stages of Ho Chi Minh City’s metro system through landmark works including Opera House Station (2015) and Ben Thanh Station (2018). From the first excavation works of Metro Line 1 to the new beginnings of Metro Line 2, this journey reflects Bachy Soletanche Vietnam’s unwavering commitment to delivering safe, high-quality and sustainable geotechnical and underground solutions for Vietnam’s most challenging infrastructure projects.
