\u00a0Concrete tops the list of construction materials, and its global usage has increased 10-fold over the past 65 years. However, concrete is also one of the largest sources of CO\u2082 emissions\u2014accounting for over 50% of total CO\u2082 emissions from the Soletanche Bachy Group.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\ud83d\udcc9 To reduce emissions, BSV implements two key strategies:<\/p>\n

1\ufe0f\u20e3 Reduce concrete volume through optimized design and technologies such as pile shaft grouting.<\/p>\n

2\ufe0f\u20e3 Lower emission factors by using concrete made with low-clinker cement and mineral additives such as Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag (GGBS) and fly ash\u2014materials that emit significantly less CO\u2082 than clinker. Other supplementary materials include limestone filler, metakaolin, and silica fume. The use of low-clinker cement is a sustainable direction for cement manufacturers.<\/p>\n
